Worship Ministry Assistant
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is administratively minded with strong organization and communication skills, is a team player, and preferably possesses some knowledge of music keys and charts. Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred, plus a minimum of 1-2 years office administration experience.
Main Objective: To provide administrative support to the Worship Ministry department and serve as receptionist one day per week (if full time is desired).
Job Description:
- Communicate with volunteers via email and/or phone
- Support the hospitality of various worship events (Wednesday rehearsals, Sunday mornings, special events)
- Provide administrative support to worship and tech ministries
- Acquire and maintain all licensing for the use of music copyright administration
- Coordinate communion and baptism
- Occasionally assist in worship planning
- Assist in special event planning, writing, and execution (Jingle Jazz, Nights of Worship, etc.)
- Occasionally participate in leading worship (not mandatory, depending on giftedness)
- Execute essential functions of the receptionist (if applying for full-time)
- Other functions or duties as assigned by supervisor.
Critical Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills; Competency in related Google Suite software; Ability to learn a variety of software applications including church-related software; Relates well with volunteers; Works well in a team environment; Self-starter and able to work with little or no direction

Relates Closely To: Worship Team, Tech Team, Worship Volunteers, and Office Staff
Job Status: Full-time, 40 hours, Monday - Thursday plus Wednesday evenings & occasional Sunday mornings; or Part-time up to 29 hours, Monday-Thursday plus Wednesday evenings and occasional Sunday mornings.
